Regent House

An open concept Row-House renovation.

This row house, located in an historic district in West Philadelphia, was designed and constructed while the client was living in Morocco. Throughout the design and construction process elements of Islamic design from the Medina’s in Fez increasingly crept into design. Many of the key elements were built in Morocco and imported including the hand carved wood divider screen separating the stair from the living room. This layout kept the intimacy of the space alive while greatly expanding it and not cutting off the stair from the light and vibrancy of the room.
